A $1.2 million grant has been given to the Morehouse School of Medicine. The money will go to ll support Morehouse School of Medicine`s (MSM) Patient-Centered Medical Home and Neighborhood Project, which provides primary care and various community engagement programs to help improve health in and around Atlanta’s East Point area.
MSM will create a patient-centered medical home at its department of family medicine clinical site, the Comprehensive Family Healthcare Center at Buggy Works in East Point, with the grant.
The grant is part of United Health Foundation`s `Helping Build Healthier Communities` program. The United Health Foundation is a not-for-profit that collaborates with community partners through grants and outreach efforts to improve the nation`s health system.
